In 1865, The Langham, London opens as the first Grand Hotel in Europe. Royals, dignitaries and renown guests come and stay at this London icon. The luxury hotel has since gone through a fascinating journey, enchanting guests with exquisite food, drinks and afternoon tea experiences and sumptuous rooms & suites to delight its guests.
The Langham, London was looking to create a series of videos for the hotel to promote and position the brand’s Art of the Stay. The videos would support web, digital & social media distribution.
labelV directed & produced a series of videos for the luxury hotel with a narrative around the hotel’s fantastic journey since it first opened in 1865. We collaborated with artist JP Kalonji, for the drawings relating the historical famous guests of the hotel. These complement the video live action and walk through the fantastic renovation of the hotel.
Here you can see CHAPTER ONE: ‘The Journey since 1865’. A brief historical journey of the grand hotel including illustrations, animations and a walk through the hotel’s beautiful renovation work through a fast paced video edit.
The video received amazing engagement on social media and Brand Love with over 54K views, 290 likes and reactions, 107 shares, and generated superb comments about the hotel from past, current and future guests. The Illustrations were also utilised as individual pieces of content to tell specific hotel stories on Instagram and Facebook.
The second video, In the Heart of The West End is created around a narrative based on the central London location of the luxury hotel. An illustrated animated couple leads the story.
